Truly one of the best books for giving a sense of advertising as a whole. Successful campaigns, terrific failures, and everything in between. If you ever want to know what makes a person actually want to be in advertising, this is the book to explain it. There’s also a fascinating list of the worst questions advertisers ask their agency. A fun read.
The Age Of Persuasion

A book from one of the Canadian big guns in the marketing scene. Terry O’Reilly is the host of CBC’s Age of Persuasion and brings a weekly dose of advertising lore to listeners. With the show’s co-creator, Mike Tennant, he has released this book about the advertising industry, covering both history and philosophy.
