The Edmonton WinterCity Strategy is a visionary initiative to help citizens re-imagine winter life in Edmonton. As a grass-roots, organic campaign, the City decided to incorporate a social media strategy to foster wide-reaching, ongoing public engagement.
Working with Parodos Communications, we developed a social media strategy, designed and crafted the Facebook and Twitter sites, and executed three months of content creation and engagement. We then trained the staff to maintain the high levels of engagement that had been generated.
We nearly doubled our goals of 1500 Facebook likes and 150 Twitter followers in three months, especially impressive as it was a winter-focused campaign that launched in the spring.
